New Mexico Admin Office of the District Attorneys

Senior Investigator wanted for immediate employment with the Seventh Judicial District Attorney’s Office, which includes Catron, Sierra, Socorro and Torrance counties. Employment will be based primarily in Socorro County (Socorro, NM). Job Duties include specialized investigation, locating witnesses; serve subpoenas and other process documents; execute warrants; interview witnesses; research investigative leads; provide logistical assistance with witnesses and evidence; testify in court; coordinate efforts with other law enforcement agencies; provide internal security within a district attorney’s office; execute all powers and duties established by statute pertaining to peace officers. Associates degree in criminology, criminal justice, police science or a related field, plus one (1) year work experience; or three (3) years work experience in related field, plus New Mexico Peace Officer Certification at the discretion of the district attorney. Salary range will be $58,000-$68,000 and commensurate with experience and budget availability. Will also have full benefits and one of the best retirement plans (PERA) in the country.
